About Kat B Nails

I began my journey in a spare bedroom at my dad's house when I was just 15 years old (yes, a baby, I know lol). At that time, nail services were not widespread, but I had a strong passion for it. My aunt, who owned a salon in Poland, taught me the fundamentals. I honed my skills by practising on family and friends for several years before officially taking on clients.

Upon completing school, I found myself uncertain about my career path. However, my enduring passion for nails led me to explore formal training. Facing financial constraints, I took a job in a call centre to fund my nail courses. Every penny of my earnings went toward acquiring nail supplies and training. I dedicated myself to this pursuit and eventually secured a position in a salon where I began building my clientele. Balancing both the call centre job and offering nail services on my days off, I made numerous sacrifices to establish a solid client base. It took relentless effort, but when I finally had enough clients to venture into self-employment, I took the leap without hesitation and have never looked back since.

I secured space in two different salons initially. Unfortunately, one of the salons I was part of faced financial difficulties, went bankrupt, and had to shut down abruptly. This left all of us without a workplace, and we had only a few hours to gather our belongings. Distraught, my mom helped set up a room in our house for me to continue working.

One morning, a kind client informed me about a small salon available for rent. Eager for the opportunity, I quickly arranged to view it, which marked the beginning of my first salon. Despite its small size and being located up a substantial flight of stairs, I managed to make it work. Over time, I progressed to opening my largest salon to date—a development that took me by surprise but felt like the perfect fit. Reflecting on this journey, from the challenges of starting in a small space to the unexpected expansion, I am immensely grateful for the hardworking and amazing experiences that have shaped my path.

Our latest salon is now operating in the North West Business Complex within the Skeoge industrial estate, marking our most expansive venture to date. Over the past 7 years in the industry, we've consistently progressed and outgrown each of our previous locations. We now provide a comprehensive range of services, offering everything under one roof, including nails, brows, lashes, waxing, nail training, and aesthetics. Presently, I am actively expanding both my aesthetics and nail businesses, dedicating myself to continuous training and knowledge enhancement.
